Frequently Asked Questions
How can I support the parade?
You can support the parade in many ways, including by sponsoring the parade or simply by personally inviting everyone you know to come witness the parade.
What should I bring?
Please dress comfortably, keep a water bottle (we will refill it for you at our water stations), a good camera to record special moments, shades such as a cap or a hat, and a chair to sit for an extended period.
Can anyone attend this parade?
Absolutely! Whether you are Jain or not, young and old, local to Bay area or visiting from outside, everyone is welcome to the parade.
Can I volunteer my time!
We have to manage a crowd of thousands of people and put together four floats. There are many opportunities to help and we welcome you to reach out to us by WhatsApp.
Where can I park?
Parking will be available at the VTA’s Milpitas Bart Station, Milpitas Library, Stratford School, or at KinderCare and you will be directed to the parade route where you can conveniently watch the parade.
Am I allowed to walk with the parade?
As with parades like Rose Parade, India Day Parade, or Macy’s Parade, there will be a separator between the parade participants and the audience. You can watch from your position and walk behind the parade in a procession. Just be careful, you are going to be walking on the pavement!
